Hi everyone,
We will be on the road for a month starting Munich - Prague and CZ to find/visit distant relatives, back to Munich to pick up husband, down to Neuschawnstein and then driving to Chamonix. Anyone taken this route over the mountains in an RV? Should we camp in Switzerland or just keep on to Chamonix?
After that up to Beaune, Paris, Normandy, back to Alsace then Munich.
About 28 days of trip.
Very excited - just can't find too much information from Americans who have done this sort of thing.
I'm a 55 year old woman who is traveling with my mother and uncle. All are good travelers and like adventure. May be doing some Segway tours this trip though. :)
You probably know more about camping that I do, but I'm sure you'll find some very attractive campgrounds and parking spots in Switzerland. We have a few links at https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/sleeping-eating/camping. These are couple of spots near Stechelberg, in the Lauterbrunnen Valley: www.campingbreithorn.ch and www.campingruetti.ch.
