Most economical shuttle from Paris airport and back

I have had some bad experiences in the past with certain shuttle services in Paris. Can someone reccomend a good reliable service that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. There are two of us.
Thanks!

We have had some bad luck recently with shuttles from CDG.The worst was last Fall with Golden Air. They were horrible. They are all expensive and they cram too many people in them. If you find one take it from CDG into the city, but I would be very leery of taking one to the airport because you might miss your flight. We always take a cab back to the airport. Remember , also, that some cabs will not come to a hotel during rush hour, so you may have to go very early... discuss this with your hotel. Let them know in advance.... not the morning you are going .

At the risk of pointing out something obvious, if you've been to Paris before, are you not comfortable with the Metro? It might not be quite as convenient as a shuttle or taxi, but it will deposit you right into the lower level of Charles De Gaul airport. I've done it both ways and prefer the Metro. It is not subject to traffic and tardy drivers, plus it is very reasonable.

Since there are two of you the price for a taxi from CDG to a downtown hotel would be about the same as for two people in a shuttle, perhaps even a bit less. The shuttle services cost around 28-30 Euro per person and the cab ride would most likely be around 50 Euro or so.

As we are staying just off the St. Michel Plaza area, we plan to take the train -- RER B from St. Michel to the airport. Cost of 8.20 euros each.

Janis,

Just so you aren't caught off guard, the current fare from central Paris to CDG on the Metro and RER is €8.50.
