Most economical mode of transportation and where to get passes

We are going to be Munich, sailing down the Rhine from Koblenz or there abouts, traveling from Krems to Vienna, and getting arround Berlin. I would like to use a two day pass in Munich, sail from Koblenz to Bacarack(sp)then get back to Koblenz, and get to Vienna from Krems. Our time in Berlin will be on mass transit also. What suggestion are there and where does a person buy passes for buses and trains. Also can these be paid for with a creditcard?

Down the Rhein from Koblenz is northwest, towards Amsterdam. Southeast, towards Bacharach, is up the river. You can get schedules for the K-D boat line here.

In Munich you can buy a one-day inner zone pass for up to five people for €9. You can also get a three day inner zone all-day pass for five people for €21, but no two day pass. These passes can be used on all forms of transportation S-/U-Bahn, streetcars, and buses in the Munich metro district (MVV).

These passes are for just the inner zone of Munich, which contains just about everything in the city except Dachau. There are also passes available for the inner two zones (XXL, includes Dachau) and for the entire metro district (Gesamtnetz, includes Munich airport). If you want to go outside the city, like to Salzburg or to Füssen, you will need a Bayern-Ticket, for €27, for up to five people. A Bayern-Ticket is valid for unlimited rides on regional trains for an entire day (after 9 AM weekdays) in the state of Bavaria. It is also valid for all forms of transit in the metro districts, like MVV in Munich.

You can get the Munich passes at any ticket automat or ticket counter in Munich. Same with the Bayern-Ticket, but it will cost €2 more at a ticket counter.
