Morning Flight Dublin

I am scheduled for a 9 am flight on Continental out of Dublin Airport. My hotel supposedly has a shuttle that leaves the hotel at 7:15 am, but I am not sure that it will give me enough time to travel from the hotel to the airport. I was wondering:

1) How early should I arrive for an international flight?
2) What would be best mode of transportation to the airport? (I don't want to use a taxi.)

Hi, Mai. We need a little more information for options. Where is your hotel?

Even not knowing that, I'd say you're cutting it too close. Traffic around Dublin airport can be horrible, especially that time in the morning, especially if it's a week day.

If you're not already, you might just want to stay out by the airport that night. We had a good experience at The Bewley's hote Dublin Airport. It's new, nice, cheap (we paid $60USD a night for 2 queen rooms), and has a 24hr shuttle, and is cheap/easy to get to the airport with taxi.

Hi, Mai. Sunday won't be quite as bad, that's a good thing. :)

It's about 30mins to the airport by cab with no traffic. So with you hotel shuttle, I think that might still be pretty darned tight for an international flight.

2hrs in advance is still pretty wise, the airport itself can be busy on weekends.

Here's a link of bus options that go to the airport: http://www.dublinairport.com/to-and-from/by-bus/

Hope that helps! Maybe someone can recommend one they've used!
