Monaco to Cinque Terre

What is the best way to get from Monaco to Cinque Terre? I think by Train by not sure if i need to get off at La Spezia or if there is a way of going to Levanto. Also how long should i spend visiting the area?

It would be great to hear somw feedback from someone who has been there!

By train, use this link to answer your other questions: clickIt will show you schedules and if you click show details it will show connections and much more. set time to 0600 and input the day if you know it, if not any weekday or weekend schedule will do for now, you're not buying tickets on this website. Most travelers spend 3 days in the CT.

I second Kent's suggestion. I stayed 3 nights, 2 full days in Cinque Terre last year and thought that was the right amount of time. Also, Levanto is north of Cinque Terre and you'll want to get off there rather than going to La Spezia and back tracking. When you check the schedules, you'll see that almost all trains heading south from Genoa stop in Levanto (where it appears you're staying). There are trains about hourly from Levanto to the Cinque Terre towns, but some may not stop at every town. Be sure to get a local schedule once you're there.

In Levanto or the CT, I suggest finding a TI and purchasing the 1,2,3 or 7-day Cinque Terre Treno card. It's good for unlimited train travel between Levanto and La Spezia (which includes the 5 towns of the CT) as well as travel on all trails between the towns. It will also get you on the minibuses in the towns.
