Are mobile rail passes/tickets for two travelers downloaded to just one device or does each traveler need to have the passes/tickets downloaded to her/his device?

England and Scotland. My wife and I will be traveling on the train from London to York, York to Edinburgh, and Edinburgh back to London in June, 2023.

Look into buying Advance tickets online when they are released ( hopefully someone can advise you when that is) and a Two Together Railcard which reduces the cost of the already-discounted tickets by 30%.

LNER , the train company you will be using for all three journeys, are already selling advance tickets until 21 July ( I know thats way more than the usual 12 week notice) so now is the time to book.
