We used Mobile Passport in September 2017 when we flew back through Houston from Munich. I decided to check my app a few days ago to make sure everything is still there; our passport information. Now you have to pay $14.99 a year in order to retain/restore everything you have put into the app. It will auto renew, but you can turn that off at any time. We were pleased with how it worked before so I don't have any issues with paying the fee but I was curious if anyone else has used it and then later subscribed to keep all of the info you submitted originally. I seem to remember that it took some time to get all of the documentation into it for each of us using it, including photos you take of your passport. So the choice is re-enter all of that every time or pay.

We used this Mobil Passport coming into Chicago a year ago and It did not save much time. We got through to a really short line but there was a very large family from a foreign county that held up the line anyways. That was irritating. We were going to use it last month (June) coming into Chicago and we found it was now NOT free. We got through immigration in about the same amount of time. We had to wait for our luggage anyways. We are not going to pay for it.

MP IS still free if you don't want them to add it. I used this at EWR 10 days ago and have not paid a penny to use it.
