My wife and I booked a flight on Aegean Airlines out of Athens to Spain. The online booking form had spaces for First Name and Last Name. Since our passports carry Middle Names, If the boarding passes are not changed, I'm concerned that there will be an issue when boarding the plane in Athens. Have any other readers been faced with the same situation and how were they resolved?
Thanks,
Dave
Never had a problem with it. The airline ticket only has so many spaces in the name field anyway, so if you have a long last name, there will not be enough space for the whole thing. The letters will just run together until they run out of spaces.
Thanks Sam - your response was very appreciated.
What is in the ticket data base is more important than what's printed on your ticket or boarding pass. Hopefully you don't have the same name as someone on the watch list. See:

If the name printed on my boarding pass is different than what appears
on my government ID, will I be turned away at security and unable to
fly? Boarding passes may not always display the exact name you
provided when booking your travel. The name you provide is used to
perform watch list matching before a boarding pass is issued, so small
differences should not impact your travel.
Yes. It has happened to me more than once, on both BA and LH. It has never been a problem at all.
I travel all the time on my job and to Europe every couple of years. For some reason my airline tickets always come up with Patriciah as my first name, when my name is Patricia, with H as my middle initial. I have never had any problems with this.
We have experienced the same situation for a number of years. It is indeed a computer spacing problem. We have flown in and out of a number of European airports and have never had a problem. Just have some sort of documentation showing the airline does know your full names in case some agent gets up on the wrong side of the bed and wants to mess up your attitude. Go and enjoy!!
We have dropped the middle name on all plane tickets and reservations. My wife flopped between using her maiden name and her given middle name as a middle name. Her passport has her given middle name. Her driver's license used her maiden name so it was confusing as to which middle name to use on different documents. Finally just quit using any middle name. Never been questioned and never a problem.
