Hi,
I have a railpass covering much of Europe for a trip in May/June. I have just reserved a few tickets, mainly in Italy on high speed trains. I am certain we won't have any problem making the trains, but was just interested in what would happen if we missed one for some unfortunate reason?
Would we be required to quickly reserve a seat on the next train, or would the fact that we actually paid a significant amount of money for a reservation mean we could jump on the next train and hope for a spare seat? Sorry if it is tremendously obvious that we should just pay for another reservation (30-40 Euros for two), but I'd rather be sure now than pay too much blissfully unaware of a better way of doing it.
Thanks!
