I'm trying to organize my land itinerary for flights already purchased that lands in Venice and departs from Vienna. According to Travelocity I can take a $36 CAD flight from Milan to Vienna on Haiti International, which seems too cheap and really strange to me. Does anybody have any experience with strange budget flights like this?
Your post made me curious. I googled "Haiti International Airlines" and found that it's been defunct since 2002.
Which airport in Milan and on what date? I can't find anything on this. And Haiti International Airlines no longer flies and hasn't' for years.
Are you sure it's not Niki?
It came up on Travelocity.ca for September 21st (2010) from MXP to VIE with two flights available on the day, one for $36 and one for $74. It did ring alarm bells and I guess that's a good thing if they are defunct! But it is strange Travelocity would post those flights -- I thought Travelocity was relatively dependable.
Oops, I see Niki in the small print beside the Haiti symbol. Who is Niki?
Thanks again.
Niki is a budget airline partially owned by Air Berlin and started by Niki Lauda--former racing driver who also started Lauda Air.
It's fine.
The "Haiti INternational Airways" is a mistake on the part of Travelocity. HG is the IATA code for Niki. It used to be the code for Haiti International.
