Hello--I'm in need of bus information. I want to travel from Milan NW to Rastiglione (in Valsesia), then east to Trivero (in Biella), then SW back to Milan, making a rough triangle. Also, must be back at Milan Malpensa by 9 AM! Can't find bus schedules for the life of me. Any savvy travelers out there who can help, or should I bite the bullet and rent a car? Grazie!

Rent the car. Rail schedules are easy to find but, as you've already figured out, trains don't connect all 3 of these locations. And bus schedules to Italian rural locations are difficult to find online, at least I haven't had much luck in the past and others here have had the same problem.And most important, you won't be able to get from Trivero to Milan Malpensa by 9 am by bus, at least it seems unlikely. For these reasons, rent a car. Also, not being nitpicky but to help you: your compass directions are incorrect. From Rastiglione it's SW to Trivero, then east/southeast back to Milan. GoogleMap or viamichelin.com will help you sort out the directions. And if you drive, you'll want to get acquainted with viamichelin.com for trip planning. For your itinerary I'd also recommend a GPS if you can get one with Euro maps.

Right you are, kent--I had my compass points turned round. I've rented a car and found directions on google maps. Thanks!
