Milan Malpensa airport to Milan Centrale station

How do you get to Milan MXP airport to Milan Centrale station? How long does it take? I need to get to Venice from the Centrale station. Is this the best way to get there?

There are two bus companies that provide direct service from MXP to Milano Centrale. One runs every 20 minutes and the other runs every 30 minutes. The travel time in either case is 50 minutes. See this page on the Malpensa site.

The bus from the airport to Milan Centrale and than a fast train from Milan to Venice is the best way to get there. Are you rushing to join a cruise? If yes, what time does your flight arrive and what time do you have to board the ship. We can provide more detailed information on getting you there.

Outside Malpensa airport, look for exit 5, stops 2 and 3, for the buses. You can buy your ticket from the driver; buses leave about every 15 minutes for the 50 minute ride to the Milano Centrale train station. There are frequent trains to Venice.

Vanessa is sort of correct... we took the train back to the Airport and it is wonderful but it leaves from the Cardona (Cordona?)station not Centrale. YOu may take a Metro between those stations but just getting off a flight from the US, the bus ride is relaxed and drops you at the door and a bit cheaper as well. George, Pittsburgh

The train from Malpensa is easy. I don't sleep on planes (can't sleep on anything that moves, it's a curse...) and I had probably been aware for alomost 3 days when we landed in Milan. We caught the train to the city (easy, comfortable, inexpensive, no hassles). We were also heading for Venice the same day, several hours later. We went to the Duomo and wandered a bit killing time -- don't recall if we took the metro that day, but it was no big deal. If I were going again, I'd take the train.

But the original question was the best way to Centrale and then on to Venice. The bus to Centrle is still the best for that purpose.
