I will be in Europe for 6 months. Most of my trip is planned already except the last few legs. I will be leaving Milan Italy on Sept 6 to go to Frankfurt, Germany until September 14 and then on to Zurich, switzerland for the remainder of my trip. Is it better to purchase a p2p ticket or select saver first class ticket? I will be traveling with my friend who is 20. thank you in advance for your help!
Switzerland isn't an EU country and so the 90 day clock doesn't in effect run I don't think while she's there. Still might want to check if the Swiss will have issues with that though.
Yes, you are correct you must have a visa, if you stay past 90 days. It is very hard to get a visa for there. I will only be there for 90 days, then I will head to France for 3 weeks before I head home.
European Union regulations state visitors are only allowed 90 days in a 180 day period. The clock will stop while you are in Switzerland....but resume if and when you cross into another EU member country. If you're in Switzerland for 90 days, you're OK. IF you are just making those train runs, then buy point to point
