There are companies now offering that service in many cities. Google luggage storage Messina.
Messina isn't on the itinerary of many visitors to Sicily, so I don't know that there's anyone on this forum who has used a luggsge-storage service there.

What makes you think so? The link works and it seems you can book, at least you can navigate to the page where you are supposed to enter your name and pay.
Ki-bag won the tender to manage luggage deposits all over Italy. You won't find another company inside any station.
