Does anyone know if there is a message board or place to leave/get messages? My travel friend and I are flying on different airlines to Rome, same day. We will not have a GSM type phone or any text message capabilities so we won't know if we each made it there or if one of us was delayed so could let the other one know what happened

Try looking up the airport on line and it will give you the names of restaurants, find out which terminal you will be coming into and then pick a restaurant in that terminal, there are a variety of places in each terminal, including one with the good old McD's.

If you each had the others flight information and a designated meeting place, you could easily find out if the flight has landed, has been delayed and the new arrival time and know exactly where to meet once you arrive.

Matt a friend and I went to Paris on two different flights,, she didn't have our hotel info( I had booked it,, she didn't even know the name of it) ,, she arrived 2 hours or so before me, but just waited for me,, as she had MY flight information.. thats all you and your friend need to do,, arrange a place to meet, and let each other know your flight numbers and info,, and yes, the hotel you are staying at,, agreeing one would wait so long at airport,, then go to hotel( in case ones flight has a lengthy delay ,, the person already there could just go to hotel,, then the other person can be contacted there,, hotels have phones, lol ). Remember ,,people have travelled without texting or cell phones for ions,, its not too difficult to figure stuff out. My friend and I did 3 months in Europe in 1985,, well before such tools and we always managed to find each other,, when we seperated.
