Does anyone know how to get from Memmigen airport where Ryan Air lands to Munich and how much it costs? Trying to weigh out the benefit of taking Ryan air instead of flying directly to Munich.

That is great information. I looked at the Memmigen tourist website and it does look nice. Hopefully we will not regret flying Ryan Air.

There is bus transport from the airport to Munich according to the Ryanair website.

Memmingen is a nice old walled town that is worth a visit if you're thinking of staying there after/before your flight.

This same question was recently asked.
There is a city bus from Allgäu Airport to Memmingen Bahnhof and rail connections from there. The bus costs €2,50 per person. A Bayern-Ticket would get you from Memmingen to Munich Hbf by regional train for €20 for one person, €28 for 2-5 people. That route takes about 2 hours and runs about hourly.
There is also a direct bus from the airport to Munich Hbf. It costs about €18, less than the bus/rail connection for one person, more than bus/rail for more than one person. The bus takes a little less time, but there are usually only 5 connections per day, timed to leave after everyone is off the last Ryanair flight of that period, but if you are on an earlier flight, you could wait hours for the next bus.
