Megabus has opened my flight opportunities!

Have you heard of Megabus? I never knew about it until I looked it up after seeing it on the freeway. Now I can open up my USA-Europe flight opportunities to the other major nearby cities and fly direct rather than the connection I have to do from Indianapolis. For instance I can catch a morning Megabus from Indianpolis to Cincinatti for $2 round trip, and fly to Paris direct from Cincinatti. Thought you'd appreciate the info if you didn't know about this.

Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for.
My son has twice had Megabus cancel his bus without notification. The first involved weather that closed the PA Turnpike, not only did we have to call to find out but they tried very hard to not refund his return trip, which he could obviously not get to the next day. The second involved their eliminating a run that I am guessing was under-subscribed. Had I not been checking what time I needed to get him to the first ride that day, Philadelphia to NYC, he'd have been standing for hours on a street corner in NYC waiting for a bus to get him to college in Vermont that night, and he'd have been stranded. Given that a Megabus reservation requires an e-mail address, the lack of notification was incomprehensible.

I would not risk my flight on them.

Megabus will take you from downtown Indy to UC in Clifton in Cincinnati. They list it as 2 1/2 hours. The airport is in Kentucky, so you'll need to take a cab to the airport, about a half hour ride. You'll have parking fees in Indy, and cab fares in Cincinnati. Why not just drive to the airport? The drive is less than two hours, parking fees are reasonable, and the flights are direct.

Leave Megabus to the college students.

Megabus will also take you to downtown Chicago where you catch the L to the airport. That's not bad, but what Karen says about Cincinnati is pretty inconvenient.

Another option is if you can drive to Cincinnati or Chicago, you can leave your car at a local hotel for free for up to two weeks and pay for a one-night stay upon your return before driving back to Indianapolis. We've done that for direct flights from both Cincinnati and Chicago. It's called "park, sleep, fly" or something like that.

The flights on Delta from Indy or Fort Wayne are $60-80 cheaper than flying from Cincinnati or Detroit. So you can go direct but it will cost a bit more.

Here's my question-why doesn't Indianapolis have direct flights to Europe?

True about the flights on Delta. It could be advantageous for Aer Lingus or Air Berlin or another lower-price airline from Chicago.
