I'm flying into CDG T2 B; my friend is flying in to CDG T2 A, two hours later. Is it possible for me to her at her gate or do A and B have separate security areas?? Any suggestion on where to meet for a backup plan?? Thanks!!

No it will not be. Terminal 2A and 2B are seperate (albeit connected) buildings. After you go through customs, find out where customers exist customs in 2A and go wait outside there. If it's anything like T1 they'll be a good meeting point.

My recommendation is to meet at Door #6 of the terminal your friend is arriving. I say this because, should the terminal be changed for some reason, there is a Door #6 at all the terminals (A-F) at Terminal 2. Thus, she can wait there without a problem should you be delayed etc. It has come in handy for me meeting friends.
