I am meeting up with my friend at Charles de Gaule airport fro where we are going to take the RER into Paris. We arrive at different terminals within a 1/2 hour of each other. I at 2C and she at 2A. On previous trips I have always taken a taxi from the airport so am not familiar with the train station at the airport. The official CDG website is very baic and not very helpful. We are taking a train from Gare Lyon to geneva at 1.00pm so we have time constraints. So my question is what is the best and simplest place to meet up. I am not very confident about my friend being able to navigate through the airport.

A good place to meet is the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel which is directly above the TGV/RER station at Terminal 2. If your friend is packing light, she can easily walk from 2A to the station. If not, she can take the free N1 shuttle bus. 2C is closer to the station so walking probably would be faster than waiting for the bus. See the map on this page on easycdg.com.
