I need to meet someone flying in from Romania arriving at T2. Where's a good place to meet?
Steve's link doesn't seem to work. It's rather inconsequential anyway since he doesn't seem to know too much about CDG.
Terminal 2 is a big place -- actually six linked terminals that would take you fifteen or twenty minutes to walk from one to the far end of the last one in the chain. Additionally, Terminal 2G isn't even accesible by walkways so you have to ride a shuttle. Even worse, the escalators can't be used by the luggage carts and the person might have to find an elevator. The chain of potential problems is endless. Not to mention that there are cafes and other eateries all over the place, creating even more confusion.
Why not do what everybody else does? Tell the person you're meeting to look for you as they come out the door of the restriced arrivals area. Arriving flights are well-signed all over the place, so you can find the right spot easily. If you're running late, the other person can wait right there until you arrive. It's a civlized airport -- they have chairs and everything.
Seems a lot simpler than having a person unfamiliar with the airport hiking all over the place for over a half hour looking for a nebulous cafe.
I'll suggest one easily locatable spot: the lobby of the Sheraton hotel which is directly above the TGV/RER station.

Steve knows EVERYTHING- just ask him. lol
I want my group to meet at that Cafe in the TGV station. I've been there and know it is a nice meeting place.
Does anyone know the name of that cafe?
Does anyone know where I might find an online map of specifically the TGV station?
Danny,
There is a Brioche Dorée cafe in the public area of Terminal 2C and another one in the public area of Terminal 2D. Are those the ones you mean? Those terminals are right next to the TGV station. See this page for terminal maps.
Here is a description of the Brioche Dorée chain from another page on the Aeroports de Paris site:
"French-style fast-food leader Brioche Dorée offers a very wide and varied range of Viennese pastries, sandwiches, tarts and cakes prepared and baked while you wait. Quality products, fast and efficient service in friendly surroundings: the secret of La Brioche Dorée's success."
Nancy, as Tim alluded Terminal-2 at CDG is in reality six terminals.

You can look on the CDG website to see which airline and which terminal your friend is actually arriving and then pick a spot to meet.
