meeting at Frankfurt Airport

I am flying in Frankfurt Airport from USA, and my father is flying in FrankFurt from Hong Kong. I will arrive at Terminal 1 and he will arrive at Terminal 2. Here is my question: What is the best way to meet up? Should we meet up at one of the Terminal Arrival area after claim Customs and baggage? My father is flying China Eastern Airline. Is there a China Eastern Airline Desk in the arrival area? I am just looking for a meeting spot. Thanks in advance.

FRA does have designated meeting areas in both terminals. "Terminal 1, B Concourse, Level 1 (Arrivals) Terminal 2, E Concourse, Level 2" Both meeting areas are right outside the baggage claim areas. Any airport or airline employee should be able to direct you to them. The terminals are connected by the Skyline, an automated people mover between the upper floors of both terminals. It's not hard to find; there are signs. Perhaps the first person to arrive should take the skyline to the other terminal to meet the 2nd person at the meeting point in that terminal. On this map, www.frankfurt-airport.de/content/frankfurt_airport/de/misc/container/uebersichtsplan/jcr:content.file/file.pdf, the meeting areas are indicated by blue squares with four white arrows pointing to a red dot.

The train station (there are 2) if you are going on by train ---would be my idea

Believe me, it is far, far easier to meet at the designated Meeting Points, rather than sit in either of the huge, very long railway stations at the Frankfurt airport. The "Meeting Point" in both terminals are next to cafes, so you can grab a coffee or snack while waiting. They aren't huge areas, so there is no way to miss the other person. There are signs in English directing you to them also. Taking the monorail / Sky train from one terminal to the next, takes all of 5 min. Who is arriving first? Then make plans to go to that terminal. Or, since it is your dad, you might want to just plan on going to Terminal 2 to meet him and then come back to Terminal 1 to take your train.

Good idea. I believe I will be the one looking for my dad at his terminal.
