MAV tkt pick-up/taxi question Budapest

I purchased my tickets online at the MAV site. My question is: are the e-ticket machines easy to find? I would like to print my tickets the day I arrive in Budapest so there is no problem on departure day. Second question: arriving at BUD Keleti station, will there be reputable taxis outside to get to the Marriott? I really don't want to try and call one. If not, how much will the scammers overcharge...if just a few dollars it may be worth not having to wait??? I will be with my 11 year old. Thanks for any insight.

I dint have an answer on the train ticket. I always purchase them when I get here. As for the taxi, sadly there are no reputable taxis waiting at Keleti. I think it is the single poor experience one can have here. I am going to guess that you are at the Marriott on the river and not the Marriott Courtyard near the station. A reputable taxi will cost something in the 3500 forints range (less than $15). The guys at the station will probably clip you for twice that but you MUST negotiate a price before you get in the cab. A better solution is that upon your arrival and before you even get off the train that you phone City Taxi and request a cab. Get off the trait and face the front wall of the station and then proceed to the exit doors on the side of the station to your left. You will see outside a Chinese restaurant and a drop off loop. this is where the taxi will meet you. look for the name on the car and the car number the dispatcher gave you. Absolutely nothing else in Budapest is this much trouble. ... promise. Google City Taxi Budapest for the phone number. Write if I can help.

Thanks James! Yes, Marriott on the river...I guess I'll just see if the concierge can arrange a car for me to avoid the hassle. I was in Budapest a few years ago, but we came in from Vienna with a private driver, so it was easy...I love Budapest!!! I know everything else is easy :-))
