Is there a minibus tour of Giverny from Paris in late March 2008? Online, all tours all start in April. My 77 year old mother and I don't want to rent our own car and we don't want to take a RER.
The town of Giverny doesn't "close", but Monet's home and gardens, and theAmerican Art Museum are closed from the end of October thru the end of March...and that's why there are no tours.
Best in Paris museum for Monet paintings are the Marmottan and L'Orangerie.
You might consider going to Auvers-Sur-Oise, an hour from Paris by train. Van Gogh spent his last 70 days there and he and his brother are in the cemetary
Not sure about tours from Paris.

The gardens will not be open in March. We were there on the first day of April several years ago and it so happened that April 1 was a Monday and at that time the gardens were closed on Monday. We did enjoy visiting the town and the American Museum and stayed at a wonderful B&B.
There are also some Monet paintings at the Musee d'Orsay--as well as paintings by other Impressionists. Wonderful!
