I have just received our 3 person/8 day Select Saver Pass. I understand that there are only a limited number of seats available with this pass and thus resverations are recommended. A number of our travel days will be in Italy and reservations on the faster trains are required here. However, are reservations recommended for Vienna to Munich, Munich to Zurich and Zurich to Chur Switzerland? Also, can I make all the reservations thru EurAide? Finally, is RailEurope the only American site thru which I can obtain tickets and reservations for the Bernina Express? Lee, I would really appreciate your comments on this?

I'm not sure where the number of seats available would be limited. Certainly not in Germany. Maybe in Premier class on Railjet. However, for Vienna to Munich and Munich to Zürich, I would recommend reservations just because the price is pretty nominal and you wouldn't want to stand all that way. Unless you are talking about an awfully busy time, I would think that you could get those reservations when you got to Europe. I can't find reservations only available on the trains from Vienna to Munich or Munich to Zürich. I can find reservations only for Munich to Basel Bad or from Munich to Lindau, so maybe it's a cross border thing.
