I'm getting a Ryan Air flight for about 40 Euros from Madrid to Marseille in May. Worth taking this one? Reliable enough? I ask only cause I've heard some bad experience about Ryan Air flight getting canceled etc. Hence! :)
Also I have 4 days in that side of France. I thought I'll do day trips to Nice/Cannes and stay at Marseille and Nimes. Any thoughts?

Marseilles and Nimes are in Provence, too far west to be a good base for day trips to Nice and Cannes.
I'd choose to spend all that time in Provence, but if you want to split things up, use Nimes (or Arles) as a base in Provence and Nice or Cannes as a base for the Cote d'Azure.

We're booked on a Ryan Air flight from Madrid to Marseilles. We're flown Ryan Air before with no problems--you just have to make sure to pack light to avoid additional fees.
