In April I would like to travel from Madrid Airport to the Chamartin Train Station to catch a train to San Sebastián. The metro route would take me far south to make a connection between two lines. I think I read somewhere that a new regional train line was soon to open between the Airport and Chamartin. Might anyone know if it is running and if it is the best way to go? Thanks!

The Cercanias (commuter) train will take you direct Terminal 4 to Chamartin. http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/cercanias/madrid/index.html
