lunch stops in italy

i will be going to italy in august. we will be driving from venice to florence, then florence to rome. we will like to stop for lunch in a small quite town on the way(ferrera,padua,orvieto,arezzo ? ).we will have a driver ,therefore we cannot dervert to far from the main travel route, any winery on the way?. all suggestions will be appreciated.

I know this is not a small quiet town, but you have to stop at an Auto Grille! They are fantastico!

Ditto to the AutoGrille! They actually have decent food, including self serve wine, a cafe/espresso bar, reasonably clean bathrooms, and a super to-go food section (parmesan, salame, etc.) for Tuscan hill town picnic food. There is also an AutoGrille in the Rome airport for your last minute cappucino.
