Tvl. end of Nov to Riomaggiore from Lake Como, will have a bag to store in LaSpezia. Have read posts about storage, but nothing recent. Is luggage storage avail, and is it secure? If not, do you suggest staying night in LaSpezia and keep luggage at hotel. We would not get an early start though on our 1 day in CT. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Gail, according to Trenitalia, there is luggage storage at La Spezia Centrale. You can read this post for a complete list of train stations in Italy with "Left Luggage" storage. I've used Left Luggage facilities all over Italy (and Europe) and never encountered any security issues/concerns.
