I'm going to be flying into LHR at terminal 1 We have to go to terminal 5 for another flight and plan on using the luggage storage service at terminal 5. Can anyone tell me approx. how long it will take to go thru customs and get to terminal 5. Also, would like feedback on their luggage storage service at terminal 5.

You can ride free on the Heathrow Express from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5.

There is really no way to know how long immigration will take. It will depend on how many other planes are coming in at the same time as yours. When I flew into Heathrow last month from the US, there was no line at all, and I walked right up to a desk. I have also stood in line for over an hour. The Heathrow Express is about a six minute ride from T5 and its free.
