My wife and I will be traveling in Germany on both IC and ICE trains and was wondering about our luggage. We both use a 24" high suitcase on wheels and while I am sure there are overhead racks in first class I don't know if they would accomodate a piece this large. At one time there used to be a space at the end of each car where a person could leave their suitcase but we haven't been on a train in Europe for several years so I do not know what the situation is today.
We are going to be gone for 14 days and did not want to leave a suitcase in storage at the train station if we could help it. Ron

Yes there is storage at the end of each car, overhead storage and between the seats storage. First Class should have less people and baggage. If your plans involve Switzerland you can actually ship your luggage ahead of you on the train so that it's waiting on you at your destination.
