Luggage on Meridian Trains Munich - Salzburg

I am leading a group of 5 adults on a trip through Bavaria and Austria soon. Itinerary has us taking the train from Munich Hbf to Salzburg Hbf one way on a Saturday. Despite several attempts on my part to get my travel companions to pack light, I anticipate that the others in my party will insist on traveling with a larger (21 -25") rolling suitcase. So, here is my very specific question:

Will there be room for us and our luggage in the Meridian regional train's second class, or should I pay the extra for the Meridian first class, or even more for the RailJet? I don't care about seat reservations, seat comfort, or amenities. Just want to know about room for my party's suitcases. Please do not proverbially preach to the choir about packing light, as I'm a true believer in that.

Rather, please vote for the following:

A. You'll be fine in Meridian second class;
B. Meridian first class should give you the extra room you need; or
C. Sorry, you're stuck paying extra for the RailJet.

Thank you in advance.

C. Meridian and other DB regional trains do not generally have luggage racks overhead... So it is suitcases in the aisles if the trains are crowded. I have never tried taking suitcases on Meridian 1st class.

Thanks Tyrker. Saw a big suitcase comfortably in the rack in the video. Much appreciated. rj

A. Just deal with it. Ridden many regional trains in Germany with a lot of luggage and never gave it a second thought.

A. If your suitcase doesn't fit into the rack just put it onto the floor. Nobody cares.
