Help! We leave Monday May 13 for France. After one night stay in Paris we are off to Amboise and the castles of the Loire, with a stop in Chartres on the way. What do we do with our luggage, as now I've learned there are no longer lockers in the train station to leave it while we visit the cathedral. Any suggestions?

Don't miss Chartres due to some bags. I'd walk up the hill to the cathedral with the bags in tow. Right inside the Cathedral, on the left when you walk in is a gift shop. You could ask them where to store the bags, or where to store them in exchange for a donation. Second, there is a shop outside, on the right facing the Cathedral, almost at the far end of the building. It says La Crypt outside and sells tickets for crypte tours. The shop has powder blue shutters on the upper floor windows. It's fun by some Sisters and lay women. I'd ask them if they could keep the bags in exchange for a donation. Last resort, carry them around.
