Orbitz just posted a notice of early spring sale prices to EU on United/Luft.
Departures are limited: Jan 28 to Feb 29th, and returns must be completed by Mar 29 to get the "super lo fares".
Fiddling around with the dates, one of the best that I found on the PDX to FRA run was only $397, (Feb 27 to Mar 12, including taxes and fees) with midweek departures. Prices went up if not midweek, and the closer you got to the end of the sale; i.e $452 Mar 10 to 25, PDX to FRA.
...and ya got to buy by Jan 23rd.
Weather should be good in Spain, and Paris could possibly be decent. Maybe the Boss and I will have to forgo our US ski trip!
