Lufthansa- Terminal- Frankfurt

Lufthansa will undoubtedly fly into Terminal 1 at Frankfurt. The Regionalbahnhof is under the building across the street from Terminal 1. You get to it by going down the stairs inside the streetside wall of the terminal and through the passage under the street. The Fernbahnhof is a little farther out. You go up to the 2nd floor mezzanine and across the pedestrian bridge, then out over the building across the street.

The Regionalbahnhof is closer, but the distances are pretty close. I would allow the train connection you want to decide the station.
