We have to (get to!) fly through Munich to Zagreb next week and are meeting friends there who will fly through Frankfurt enroute to Zagreb. The last leg of both trips is via Lufthansa.
I kind wanted to check at least one slightly larger suitcase in order to bring larger liquids and gels,
and even walking sticks for a month long trip to Croatia and Italy, involving a good deal of walking.
However, the recent one day strikes by Lufthansa pilots targeted both those German cities.
Now it seems the prudent thing to limit our luggage to carry-on only simply for the flexibility that may be required if our flights are cancelled, delayed, etc.
From experience i know that having all your luggage with you gives you the greatest flexibility to deal with situations beyond your control.
What do you think? Should I risk checking a bag with plane changes in Houston and Munich?
I suppose they sell liquids and gels and even walking sticks in Zagreb?
Any idea where, especially on the walking sticks?
For a month long trip we will be doing laundry for sure, so may as well do it every week?
Thanks!
