I'm flying "Lufthansa" soon...but it's "operated by United Airlines". Thanks for the warning Frank.
This is their 13th strike in the last 18 months. It sure makes you want to consider another airline. We will be flying KLM tomorrow. I bet our plane will be full. Sure glad I didn't book Lufthansa.
a bit off topic, but since you mentioned the "operated by" issue, that's one thing to be very aware of when booking flights. "Operated by" basically means you're not flying with the carrier with whom you purchased the ticket. Different plane, staff, service, etc. So if you love Lufthansa but loathe United....that's just something to be aware of.
Well, I am booked on Lufthansa at the end of the month, and I'm getting concerned that this strike action is going to escalate. I had no idea when I booked the flight that this had been an ongoing issue or I would have booked with a different airline. What happens in the case of strike action if my flight is cancelled? Will the airline find alternatives for passengers or will I just be out of luck and miss my whole tour?
