Lufthansa Airport Bus or Train from Strasbourg to Frankfurt Airport

I am trying to book the Lufthansa Airport bus from Strasbourg to Frankfurt airport however Lufthansa in Canada and Lufthansa in the USA both require me to purchase another airline ticket. I have already purchased a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Vancouver but am still unable to purchase bus tickets only. Has anyone purchased bus tickets only from Lufthansa? If so, how did you purchase them? I would like to do this before I leave to ensure that I have guaranteed transportation on the bus.

Alternatively, has anyone taken the train from Strasbourg to Frankfurt Airport? What are the connections like? Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Are you going to Frankfurt airport from downtown Strasbourg or from Strasbourg airport? From downtown you take a regional train across the river to Germany, to Offenburg, then catch a one or two train connection down the Rhein to Frankfurt. It takes about two hours. It looks like on one connection anyway, you have 8 min to change platforms in Offenburg and a cross-platform change in Mannheim. Should be easy.

Use the Bahn schedule website, http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. Use "Strasbourg" to "Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbahnhof".
