Hi everyone!
Just to let you all know, Polish LOT Airlines is having a sale on round trip tickets from Chicago or New York City into Amsterdam, Prague and Munich for around $498 if you travel from Jan to April 2016.
I just looked at tickets from Chicago to Amsterdam and it's darn true! Didn't look any further though since I can't take advantage.
Just sharing the good news, since it's too soon of a notice for me to enjoy, so if anyone else can, take advantage!
Thanks for the tip! I can't take advantage of this either, but I'm sure some others can.
Just a note: at least in 2013 when I was there, if you are connecting in Warsaw's airport, there is a security screen IMMEDIATELY after passport control. Had I known this, I would have prepared better on the plane (ready to remove belt, show computer and 3-1-1 bag, etc). The airport is small-ish and otherwise easy to use.
Also, LOT has Premium Economy for about $220 more than regular economy. It's a much nicer seat (2-2-2 instead of 2-3-2). On my flight over, there were empty PE seats, and they could be purchased on board.
