I am contemplating booking a flight from Chicago to Southampton that has an 11 hour layover in Dublin. With this amount of time, is it possible to leave the airport and see a little of Dublin? If so, what are the transport options? What should one try to see and do in this limited amount of time, if it's even feasible?

After a long flight, a good walk around St Stephen's Green, along with a visit to the nearby Archaeology Museum come to mind-you can say hello to Gallagh Man there. There are buses, though it's not a pricey taxi ride IIRC, and that may save some time.
