London Tube Travelcard

I want to purchase the tickets in advance and have them delivered to me. I went to the Transport of London website and started to purchase the tickets, but I couldn't find any place to add the "extension" since we are coming in at Heathrow. Any suggestions?

Hi Mary Ellen. just fy i in my experience it was very easy to just buy the tube pass at Heathrow; took about two minutes; not sure why you feel the need and hassle to buy in advance. Enjoy your trip!

I don't know what you mean by "extension". If you are going in via the Piccadilly Line and you are just getting a zone 1-2 Travelcard for your stay, it'll be easy to buy a ticket to the first station in Zone 2, or put some extra pay-as-you-travel money on your Oystercard if you intend to do any other trips out of the centre. If you are planning to take the Heathrow Express or Connect trains into the centre, they are not covered by the TfL fare system at all, but again it will be easy to buy tickets when you arrive.

Thank you for your comments. It sounds like I should just purchase the 7 day London Travelcard when I get to Heathrow airport. I am taking my Girl Scout troop to London, Paris, and Switzerland and I was hoping to pay for as many of the expenses in advance - so I'd have less of an accounting headache. If you have any other ideas, please let me know.
