Can anyone point to information regarding how much the train ticket would cost from London to Paris and how long the travel time would be. I am still not sure if I will be going but wants to plan for it just in case. Would it be too much to make it a day trip from London?

It's worth at least an overnight but if a day trip is all you have time for, go for it. Eurostar is the way to go. I flew Easyjet from London to Paris because it was cheaper but was more time consuming so if I had to do it again, I'd definitely do the train.

The cheapest return (round trip) fare is £69. Book up to 120 days in advance at www.eurostar.com. There is an allotted number of seats for each discount fare. The price keeps going up as more seats are sold.
Travel time is 2hr20min.
