London to Edinburgh Train Question

Sorry for the repeat, I originally placed this question in the wrong forum....... My wife and I are taking the 9am train from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh in March. Does anyoneone have any seating suggestions? Is the quiet coach that much different? What is the better side regarding scenery? Left (west) or Right (east). Thanks

I like the scenery better on the east as you go north. Note, later in the day the sun will shine into your eyes if you're facing forward. If you're in east-cost first class, i think the double seats are on the west side. I use east coast mainline first a lot from newcastle to aberdeen a lot (free food, drinks, tea/coffee at seat). If you're using a diff train co check wifi and food north of edinburgh. I haven't travelled london north on the train for years (i fly) as it's a long way (tend to be on business). S :0) ... (ps eastcoast owns some trains, the lines are owned by network rail),

Ps forgot to add - quiet refers to cellphones.

I understand that the "quiet coach" is where cellphone use is prohibited. Thus, you don't have to listen to cellphone conversations and you shouldn't use yours.

I was in a quiet coach from Amsterdam to Munich last year. Five of us in the compartment. One businessman tried to sleep. He groused at the grandfatherly man sitting next to me about how loudly he was turning the newspaper pages principally, tho there was some whispering between the couple. Yikes! The grandmotherly wife went to the open car and stayed there for the rest of the trip. The grandfatherly man and the businessman had strong words for at least 10 min. Whereupon the grandfatherly man also left to go to the open car.
About an hour out of Munich the businessman turned into a nice engaging human, after his nap. I've wondered since if whispering is verboten in a quiet coach?

See the duplicate post in To The North. Nigel says that "quiet" only refers to electronics. Pam
