We're traveleing from London to Bruges. Staying over for a night then from Bruges to Paris. I have seen some talk of Eurostar train to Brussells then free train to Bruges but can't seem to find any info as to how to do this. Also then Bruges to Paris by Train. Do we buy tickets from Bruge all the way to Paris or Bruge to Brussels and Brussels to Paris. Thanks traveling with 2 cheldren 14 & 17 tring to make it easy.

Yes, your London to Brussels Eurostar ticket will cover the train from Brussels to Bruges. When you book London to Brussels via eurostar.com, the website and you tickets will say "Brussels or any Belgian Station". You can book Bruges to Paris at the Thalys.com website. If you book early enough you can get non-refundable/non-changeable tickets for about 30 euros, and print your tickets at home. When the site asks you where you live and/or where you will be picking up your tickets say "France"-you will then be able to print your tickets at home.

Your Eurostar ticket is good from London to any Belgian city. From Bruges to Paris, you'll be travelling on the local train to Brussels Zuid/Midi station, then aboard the Thalys. Book your Thalys ticket in advance at www.thalys.com and you might be able to find some deals. You can book those three months out. Leave France as your country of issue/pickup, and look for a fare where you can print the ticket out at home....I believe the "Smoove" fares are the only ones that you can print at home right now....they're also the cheapest, but also non refundable or changeable.

We are doing something similar in April. Since we are in a hurry to get to Bruges after our arrival flight to London, I opted to travel Eurostar London to Lille and then to take the IC train to Bruges (this saved us about 45 mins. of travel time) and we decided to visit Brussels on our way back from Amsterdam passing through on our way to Paris rather than on our first day in Europe. If you haven't yet purchased your ticket, it may be a good idea to explore that option since you only have one night to spend in Bruges. Experts please feel free to poke holes in my plan...this is assuming he has a Eurail pass of sorts so as not to have to pay extra fare from Lille either.
