London to Barcelona

I hope I'm posting this in the most appropriate place.

May 19-30, my wife and I are going to London for four nights and then flying to Barcelona for an additional six nights. I haven't booked our flight from London to Barcelona yet because on Friday, May 24, the cost per person is around $150 each, at least. I've checked flights on several sites and all are much the same. Where are those cheap intra-Europe flights? Am I overlooking something? I realize I have to book soon but keep hoping the prices drop.

Last Monday in May is a Bank Holiday in the UK. People booking a long weekend or maybe a week to take advantage would have booked up the cheapest levels of flights ages ago for the Friday and probably the Saturday as well.

It's the date. Monday 27th is a holiday in the UK, so ideal for a long weekend.
Friday of the week before, prices start from around $55 return

The best flight prices were when the flight schedules were released, probably last August/September. Prices aren’t likely to drop, as it’s a Bank Holiday weekend in the U.K.

Are your dates flexible? Try to avoid Bank Holiday weekends and school holidays.
