London Oyster Pass & VisitBritain $124 pass ... worth it or not?

Our daughter (soon to be 18) is going to Europe for 3 weeks: 7 days London, remainder (mainland) w/ young teen group, all-inclusive.

We've booked lodging for her but need info re/ London transport passes. Any experience with Oyster pass? Is VisitBritain London tourist pkg worth it? Thanks! ca

Is your daughter flying into Heathrow or Gatwick? Does the VisitBritain London tourist package you found include the London Pass? (The London Pass is generally not a good deal.) The Oyster card works very well, but your daughter may want to combine that with one-day National Rail PAPER travelcards she would buy for any days she wants to take advantage of the 2for1 offers associated with that travelcard. See here. Those travelcards are only sold at National Rail stations, not Tube stations.
