London luton

Similar to the last question, does anyone know how to get to Luton from London using public transport and how long will it take. It's hard to pass up the skyeurope flight to Prague for 19 pounds.

Take the train (Midland main line) to the airport station followed by a shuttle bus. Takes about an hour...

SkyEurope is great and so is that deal.

Luton is a one bag only security check airport though.

Once you get to the airport it is easy to get to Prague on a bus to the metro.

Have fun! I just did that route in July.

You take a bus from London to Luton Airport. It takes about an hour more or less depending on how many stops your bus makes. Check out the airport website for your different bus options.

We used the Greenline bus from the Victoria Station to Luton. Their web site is: http://www.greenline.co.uk/
It took us two hours to get to Luton due to heavy traffic in the afternoon. My advice: allow plenty of time. The first question the driver asked everyone getting on the bus was: What time is your flight? After responding, one person was told flat out that she would not make it in time and she should take a taxi and hope for the best. It is quite a distance out to the airport. Our flight was leaving in the morning, so we went late afternoon the night before and booked a room at an Ibis Hotel that is adjacent to the airport. The next morning we just walked over. ( a bit of a stroll, but we were going to be spending the next few hours sitting during a flight and a drive to Lauterbrunnen, so we did not mind.) This allowed us a full day in London, but took the pressure off to get to the airport on time the next day.
