My husband and I will be arriving at Heathrow at the end of May (British Airways). We are staying at the Holiday Inn in Kensington and will have five pieces of luggage. We are in our 60's. Would it be better to take the Dot 2 Dot tranfer or bite the bullet and take a taxi? Is it hard to find the Dot 2 Dot option? Thank you.
Well if you have to take five pieces of luggage for medical reasons etc. you may as well pad a cab fare into your holiday expenses (remember you'll need it both ways). You might also call the Holiday Inn and ask if they have a private car service. We're both in our 60's and each take one mid-size wheeled suitcase and a backpack. This leaves one had free and allows us to take the tube etc.
You can take the Tube from Kensington - Either Piccadilly line to Heathrow, or the District line to Paddington and catch the Heathrow Connect for 6 pounds 90, or the Heathrow Express for 14 pounds.
