London Heathrow - Paris CDG URGENT QUESTION!

Hello! Any thoughts you have asap would be greatly appreciated.

I have to confirm a reservation to ride the Eurostar from London to Paris for $263 RT. Doesn't that seem steep to you?

I've been looking at what it would cost to fly, often I'm finding it's at least $100 cheaper to fly. However, finding low-cost airlines flying from London HEATHROW to Paris seems to be impossible!!

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

British Airways flies from Heathrow to Paris CDG. The British Airways website is always very expensive so we book through their partner, American Airlines. You can get the same BA flights much cheaper. Just select all carriers on the advanced search page. Also, select the price & schedule option and it will show you the price for each flight. I think the cheapest flight was about $168 including all the taxes and (really high) airport/government fees.

I think Easyjet flies out of Gatwick. If it wouldn't be too difficult to change from one airport to the other (I don't know what this entails in London), you might find cheaper flights. Cheap regional carriers like Easyjet and Ryannair tend to fly out of secondary airports to save expenses. Also, Easyjet flies into Orly instead of CDG in Paris.

BMI used to be the cheapest way to fly from Heathrow to CDG, but they no longer offer that route. British Airways may be your best LHR-CDG option.

EasyJet flies from Luton to CDG, not from Gatwick to Orly. The National Express direct coach (bus) from Heathrow to Luton costs 18 GBP. See www.nationalepxress.com. Allow a minimum of five hours between your scheduled arrival at Heathrow and your scheduled departure from Luton.

Eurostar fares vary widely depending upon day of the week time of day, and how many discount seats are left. What site did you use to get your Eurostar fare? The best is www.eurostar.com.

Tim,

Thanks for catching my mistake. I made that assumption because I'm flying from Amsterdam to Gatwick, and out of Orly to Rome, on Easyjet. I assumed (inccorrectly) that they only used those airports. Thanks again.
