London Gatwick Airport/Eurostar

We are flying into Gatwick in May. How long should we allow from arrival time, getting luggage, going thru customs and then catching a train to St. Pancras to catch the Eurostar?

Hi Beverly. For me I would allow at least four hours. But a question comes to mind as to why your are flying to London only to train directly somewhere else? Seems to add unnecessary time, risk and expense. Why not fly directly to your destination?

I agree with Bob. AT LEAST four hours. Here's how it breaks down. Allow up to one hour to clear immigration/passport control and retrieve your luggage. Direct trains run every 15 minutes and the ride takes just under 50 minutes. There is a required MINIMUM check-in time of 30 minutes for the Eurostar. That leaves only an hour and a half of "free time." If your flight is late, you could be in trouble in a hurry.
