London-France-Italy

Help! I'm flying into Ldn Aug 31st then back home Sept 19 from Paris. I'd like to visit Nice, Beaune, Paris and Rome but not sure in which order and if by plane or train? Any tips? thank you so much in advance :)

I was just wondering how feasible it would be to add Italy into there but my original plan was to just go to london and france.

A nice Eurostar through the Chunnel to Paris would just be great. But, if you really want Rome, you have a choice. I would suggest flying from Paris to Rome and working my way back by train. Rome to Nice will take about 10hrs-11.5hrs by train. You may want to know that these train runs to Nice from Rome will go through the entire Cinque Terre without stopping. You'll get an 8-10 minute view of the CT from the left side of the train. Bet you won't like being that close and not being able to visit.

Rome is great and you'll enjoy it but as Kent says, it's really out of the way. With almost 3 weeks, you certainly can do it but it's your choice.

Paris-Beaune-Nice-Rome works (if you don't mind long train trips) if you fly home from Rome. Reverse it if you fly from London to Rome first.

Personally I'd make one less stop and spend more time in London & Paris. But I hope you have the best trip that works for you!
